Alex, a bright young boy had a troubled youth. He aspired for a wonderful life, but his circumstances & mindset found him hanging in the middle with no vision of the future. Despite big dreams and desires the future seemed blurry, especially after facing imprisonment and never-ending financial struggle. He asked himself what next? The easiest path was to go back to his old habits or work hard and follow his dreams. We are glad he chose the latter & refused to give up on his dreams.

A ray of hope:

The road towards his dreams seemed daunting & dark but Alex discovered a ray of hope in the form of Second Chance. He was motivated by a social worker to reach out to us and that’s how he took his first step towards transforming his life. He was met with warmth, understanding & support. At Second Chance Scholarship Foundation he felt free from the prison of his past and was motivated to give life a fresh chance, a second chance.

Turning dreams into reality

With the support of the Second Chance Scholarship Foundation, Alex gathered the courage to pursue higher education and transform his future. We set out on a journey with him to help him level up his confidence, we gave him the resources along with the power to believe in his ability to be successful. Through this transformative journey, Alex also received financial assistance along with moral support which led him to climb the success ladder.

Adding feathers to the cap

Overcoming every challenge, Alex graduated from university with Honors in two majors. Along with academic excellence, Alex took baby steps towards excelling in life too. He returned to his community through volunteering and leadership roles. A second chance empowered Alex to realize his full potential and create a positive impact on the world.
